GO THE BLUES!
It's state of Origin AGAIN, I hope that this year will be the year of the BLUES (they have had I think a 6 year loosing streak!)
How has light been used to define form?
There are two light sources in the painting, The first is near the bottom of the painting. it as a yellow glow which lights up the bottom half of the painting. The second is a white beam at the top of the painting which lights up the top half. The sources show building structures and also batman standing on the rooftop on the right.
How has colour been used to add depth and give a sense of drama?
The two colours yellow and white are strong near the source, but as the light gets further away other light colours start to appear like brick colours and metal. Colour gets darker away from the source, that is why the colour is away from batman to show him in the shadows.
How has tone been used to increase the DRAMA in the painting?
The use of black in the painting gives a sense of mystery and fear. This makes batmans purpose stand out because he likes to be feared whilst keeping to the shadows.
Has the artist used diagonals to add to the drama in the composition?
The painting uses diagonals to make the scene bigger and also to make the light source fit in from a distance whilst making batman dark.

That's right, Apollo from the original Battlestar Galactica, come to sell us his game. Not the best picture but we deal. This was probably the busiest that I saw the booth over the weekend.
