In December 2019 I relocated to Scotland, we bought our house here nearly two years ago. I remained in Devon due to work but am now in a position to work from home.
I planned on turning our loft in to my home office but there was allot of work needed and it was dam cold up there so one of the spare rooms took its place.
Starting our, it was just a spare room that I put a desk. There was a bed and very little space to move or store everything I needed to work so I decided to get rid of the bed and turn the room in to a better space for me to work in.
This is what the room looked like 7 days after I started to strip the awful boarder freeze off the walls.

Looks like my Radeon HD 6750 crapped out on me. Downgraded to my older Radeon 2400 XT video card. Wonder how long I'm going to say 'one of these days I'm going to replace my Dell Optiplex 755'...
Despite this system having a Core 2 Quad CPU and 8GB of RAM it is over five years old. I've more than got my money and use out of this pieced together system if/when I replace it.
I tend to piece mine together from what ever parts I take in. Desktop is running again, so I'll keep chugging until something else goes wrong.
Most don't know it, but I hate spending money on my own computer equipment. Luckily I don't have to provide much equipment to be able to do my core job functions at work.
The aluminum tops of these capacitors should be perfectly flat. Hydrogen gas pressure within the capacitor causes the tops to bulge upwards, which is conclusive evidence that the capacitors are defective.
I'll admit to having tipped this one over myself. "oops"

Just got a new Dell Optiplex 960 in at work. I like the new design of
it; I call it the cheese grater case.

Cool... got seemless Linux co-existing with Windows 7 Professional on my dual-monitor Dell Optiplex 745. Now I just need to repeat this configuration on my Lenovo ThinkPad X100e so that it will be portable.
