"Green meadows, wildernesses,
You will lose the beauty."
Ruggiero, in Handel's opera "Alcina". It is a strange text. In spite of life's alchemy and magic, and even love, it turns out that oblivion is the only certainty we have got. Who would have thought that opera can be subversive? Fuji X-E3 plus portrait lens.

I try to think back when I first saw the Opera House and if I was in awe. I can't remember, but everyone always asks about it when you say you have been in Sydney.

Experimenting with zoom blur during the Vivid light festival in Sydney. In this instance I zoomed in from 70mm to 200mm and back out during the 5 second exposure..

The Copenhagen Opera House is the national opera house of Denmark and among the most modern opera houses in the world. It is also one of the most expensive opera houses ever built with constructions costs well over US $ 500 million
It is located on the Island of Holmen in central Copenhagen.
Thanks for your visit and comments I appreciate that very much.
The Oslo Opera House was completed in 2007. The roof of the building angles to ground level, creating a large plaza that invites pedestrians to walk up and enjoy the panoramic views of Oslo. While much of the building is covered in white granite and La Facciata, a white Italian carrara marble, the stage tower is clad in white aluminium, in a design by Løvaas & Wagle that evokes old weaving patterns.
the ceiling of an old opera house in Sorrento, it is now a coffee house and meeting place for the local men to hang out!
The Opera House in Sydney is definately one of those places where you see some very romantic moments mixed in with some superb architecture.
A horizontal composition of the Sydney Opera House. There are so many fab photos of this iconic building, so I was again trying to capture it in a different way, focusing on the roof structure.
"Built an opera house for you in the deepest jungle
And I walked across its stage, singing with my eyes closed
I've got a love for you I just can't escape
All of my love for you cuts me like barbed wire
Ooh, I was meant to love you
And always keep you in my life
Ooh, I was meant to love you
I knew I loved you at first sight"

The Opera Garnier was perhaps one of the most interesting places I visited in Paris. Unfortunately, the many people who had flooded the place make the life of a photographer incredibly difficult, and this resulted in me failing to get the shots I wanted. So I tried some closed shots like this. And there were definitely three people here, but I managed to delete them in photoshop.

The community is keeping this slowly disappearing art alive, troupes play regularly throughout the year on small stages and temple events and every night on major events, as here during the Vegetarian Festival.
Here is also a different shot of the same actor shot a few years ago in the same temple.
