Buildings along the Chicago River as seen during a cloudy Open House Chicago last weekend.

Basically a prelude to the GP50, the GP40X's were built to road test components for the new series. 23 engines were parceled out between the ATSF, SOU, SP, and UP. Despite the paint the engines were owned by EMD during the test period.
