Is it possible that someone went through the trouble of wrapping their piece of gum in a pink paper scrap and then tossed it to the street?? As seen looking down on my walk in Gamla Stan, Stockholm, Sweden. A bit of Op Art figuring out if the iron squares go out or in? A rather soft slide but I'm sticking with it, Happy Slider Sunday - HSS
This wall reminded me on Op-Art, e.g. paintings from Victor Vasarely, because of the 3-D effect from those bricks.

At the MACA in Alicante, a faceted cube sculpture made of smaller blocks sits on a plinth, each facet painted with nested squares in black, white, teal and yellow to create a bold op-art pattern. The cubes are arranged to leave deep recesses between them, and the interplay of real shadow and painted trompe-l’œil frames makes the depth genuinely hard to read at first glance – until you notice the soft reflections on the gallery wall behind.

[ES] En el MACA de Alicante, una escultura de cubo facetado, formada por bloques más pequeños, descansa sobre un pedestal; cada faceta está pintada con cuadrados anidados en negro, blanco, verde azulado y amarillo que crean un llamativo patrón op-art. La disposición de los cubos deja profundos huecos entre ellos, y la interacción entre la sombra real y los marcos pintados en trampantojo hace que la profundidad resulte realmente difícil de interpretar a primera vista – hasta que uno se fija en los suaves reflejos de la pared de la sala al fondo.

The poser is my robot USB stick.. you can see inside the head is the USB part. He does double duty.. a fun robot for my pics and functional too. ;-)
