The novel "Life of Pi" is published in 2001 by the Canadian writer Yann Martel. In 2002, he received the Booker Prize. In 2012, the novel was filmed by the Taiwanese director Ang Lee under the title "Life of Pi: Shipwreck with Tiger". Pi Patel, the son of an Indian zoo owner and practicing Hindu, Christian and Muslim, is shipwrecked with a hyena, an orangutan, an injured zebra and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. Soon everyone will be done - all but Pi. Alone, they are floating in a lifeboat on the ocean. A bizarre, adventurous odyssey begins. This novel is one of my favorite books ;-)

Schiffbruch mit Tiger ist ein im Jahr 2001 erschienener Roman des kanadischen Schriftstellers Yann Martel. 2002 erhielt er den Booker Prize. 2012 wurde der Roman vom taiwanischen Regisseur Ang Lee unter dem Titel "Life of Pi: Schiffbruch mit Tiger" verfilmt. Pi Patel, der Sohn eines indischen Zoobesitzers und praktizierender Hindu, Christ und Muslim erleidet mit einer Hyäne, einem Orang-Utan, einem verletzten Zebra und einem 450 Pfund schweren bengalischen Tiger namens Richard Parker Schiffbruch. Bald sind alle erledigt - alle, außer Pi. Alleine treiben sie in einem Rettungsboot auf dem Ozean. Eine wundersame, abenteuerliche Odyssee beginnt. Dieser Roman ist eines meiner Lieblingsbücher ;-)
