With the recent announcement that DMPS will complete the 2019-20 school year through distance learning, staff has been handing out workbooks containing lessons consistent with the different subjects students would be working on during normal school hours. New workbooks are scheduled to be distributed every Monday at meal distribution sites.

Rabouaa borrowed the different materials and tools from her mother and started making masks for her relatives and friends.

Rabouaa was very motivated to educate herself and would spend hours a day going through the material.

The facilitators and teachers who reached out online shared videos on COVID-19 spread and prevention. After several sessions, Rabouaa decided to take action. She started watching videos on YouTube showing how to make masks against COVID-19 infection.

When COVID-19 hit Lebanon, the pandemic triggered consecutive lockdowns and schools closed. Like other refugee children, Rabouaa found herself confined to the tent.
