Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2019
Just a little close-up look into the veggie world with this onion slice backlit with a bit of morning sunshine and a white screen diffuser panel. Shot with my Meyer Optik 50mm f/1.8 Oreston lens, with Nikon PK-12 14mm Extension Tube, single image shot at f/8.
For the group: Looking Close...on Friday, Theme: "Food in Backlight"
Found this little onion bloom growing in the front yard. It's small, measuring about an inch but sure does have some cool things going on!
Shot with: VOIGTLANDER, 125mm f/2.5 SL, MACRO APO-LANTHAR @ f/8, w/Nikon PK-13 27.5mm Extension Tube, 57 Layer Focus Stack Rendered w/Helicon Focus (B, R5, S3). Silver sparkle paper for background with Lenabem-Anna #173 texture.
Happy Slider Sunday HSS!
I think onions are easy to grow, but I am always pleased with them. Red ones have such a gorgeous glow. This is a photo from a while ago, but I've cropped it for Macro Mondsy

"In onion is strength; and a garden without it lacks flavour. The onion, in its satin wrappings, is among the most beautiful of vegetables; and it is the only one that represents the essence of things. It can almost be said to have a soul."

Macro Monday
Theme: Onion family
Size: Less than 3x3 inches
I was cutting up onions for cooking when I had this idea.
I picked up a few different shaped cut onions and arranged them in a straight line on a wooden box.
I placed the box near the glass sliding door facing the setting sun and shine an LED torch light at 2 o'clock.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves... it is always appreciated..

Happy Macro Mondays!
A little bit abstract today. I had fun messing with the colours and the texture slider. These are pickled onions, Silver Onions they are called. The size of cherries. I put them on a golden background because I wanted to do warm colours and make the onions glow. Not sure why I ended up with blue, but here we are.
A staple in my house, especially for Thanksgiving dinner. I took this picture two years ago and have saved it for …??? Who knows why we save things. Anyway, onions were on my mind!
Thanks for stopping by. I do hope you are having a loving week. Be well, Joan
