Found this little onion bloom growing in the front yard. It's small, measuring about an inch but sure does have some cool things going on!

Allium. Alliums include many familiar edible plants such as onions, leeks and garlic as well as attractive flowering types. The ornamental types are a great addition to the garden with their showy flowerheads in shades of blue, purple, white and pink, bringing globes of colour in spring and early summer.

I was cutting up onions for cooking when I had this idea.

I picked up a few different shaped cut onions and arranged them in a straight line on a wooden box.

I placed the box near the glass sliding door facing the setting sun and shine an LED torch light at 2 o'clock.

I was preparing an onion quiche yesterday, which gave me this idea.

I love how the red onion looks in macro, the red rings and the droplets, and they are tasty too !

This is about 3 cm.

My husband planted an onion in a pot and this was the result!

These were labelled as French Garlic!

A little bit abstract today. I had fun messing with the colours and the texture slider. These are pickled onions, Silver Onions they are called. The size of cherries. I put them on a golden background because I wanted to do warm colours and make the onions glow. Not sure why I ended up with blue, but here we are.
