I've always been a fan of the 'mythical beings in a modern urban setting' genre and decided to have a bit of fun with a friend while wearing the new Agma head by Cryptid with the Les Ficelles Macabres add on (there is also a piercings add on!) so you can really ring the changes. Probably a swallowtail caterpillar. I found it chewing my parsley plants in the garden. I used my 55-250 telephoto lens to mimick a macro condition, and it turned out very well.
However, things did not go well when I tried to photograph two caterpillars together. See for yourself the worst shot of 2020

#290/365 Move over Machel Spence there is a new mushroom hunter in town! hahah..I'm just kidding! This was totally inspired by Machel. We had a day of good rain which brought these little lawn fungis. I thought to my self "here is my opportunity to capture my own mushroom". I wish I got a lower perspective but the big grip on the d3 prevented me too (stupid camera huh?). Anyway...enjoy your weekend it will be over lickitysplit!

I was so excited to post a picture of the bokeh picture i took last night :D It was raining and the traffic was quite bad so I had a lot of free time to take pictures.

Pliny the Elder writes that he considered the turnip one of the most important vegetables of his day, rating it "directly after cereals or at all events after the bean, since its utility surpasses that of any other plant." Pliny praises it as a source of fodder for farm animals, and this vegetable is not particular about the type of soil it grows in and because it can be left in the ground until the next harvest, it "prevents the effects of famine" for humans.

I made cookies. And then I ate one because I was very very sad.
Then something awesome happened, but it was just too late in the night and I just looked too awful to take a photo. So I'm going with this one today, as I've run out of time to take anymore.
I love and hate how sometimes life is such huge extremes. One minute I'm crying so much that I can't breath and then about two hours later I'm so ecstatic about something else that I'm muffling my "awwwwwww's" and squeals into a pillow. (I guess I should explain these two reactions came from two conversations from two different and very good friends)

Lots more work for me, but the kind of stuff I've been doing has been "finishing touches" so it feels great to have finished some jobs and onto some new ones this week!
These are some of my favourite cookbooks, you can actually see the little stickers on some of them, big favourites... and of course, the top one! A recipe book full of chocolate yummy stuff. It was a birthday present a few years ago and I love it. :D

Celeriac (Apium graveolens Rapaceum Group) is also known as 'celery root,' 'turnip-rooted celery' or 'knob celery'. It is a kind of celery, grown as a root vegetable for its large and well-developed taproot rather than for its stem and leaves.
This shot was edited to my friend who adopted that kitten there. One point I decided not to post this to Flickr because of it's crude editing, but in the end I couldn't resist the temptation. Maybe LolCats would have been better place for this...
