Happy Holidays to all of you! ♥

This gorgeous scene is from Old Town- Winterland, which I visit as often as possible and wrote about over here on The SLuggle..

The title is from Robert Frost's delightful poem Christmas Trees, which is available here from poets.org.

The House of Copernicus in Toruń - a historic, gothic tenement house, which belonged to the Copernicus family in the second half of the 15th century. Many historians consider it the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus.

I think this is the most depressing image I have done. I renamed it friendship. Sometimes we leave the light on when we clearly should not have bothered. Though other times it is more of a reassuring hope.

Edit - PS

Excerpt from audeladupaysage.com:

The small yellow houses of the city were built in the 18th century. They are a mixture of Danish and Dutch influences (many Dutchmen settled in the surrounding area in the 16th century to exploit farmlands).

The city was founded about 614 , by Roman refugees fleeing the Slav and Avar sack of Epidaurus, just to the southeast. A colony of Slavs soon joined the Romans there, and from an early date the city formed a link between two great civilizations. After the fall of Rome, Dubrovnik was ruled by the Byzantine Empire.

This photo is from a trip Kay and I took in 2009.

I hope you're having a nice week. Thank you for your faves and comments.
