A nightmare partially created by a “dream”….they’re not supposed to be fun, you know, but this one was!
Ghent is a port city in northwest Belgium, at the confluence of the Leie and Scheldt rivers. During the Middle Ages it was a prominent city-state. Today it’s a university town and cultural hub.
The picture was made in 2013.

Dieses Alte Haus fasziniert mich immer wieder, es steht mitten auf der Wiese und gammelt vor sich hin! Im Sommer sieht es noch Interessanter aus als im Winter! Irgendwann wird es abgerissen und es ist nur noch Grüne Wiese dort! Das Bild habe ich dieses mal mit dem Handy gemacht! Ich finde es für ein Handy Bild gelungen!

When an old, faded picture drops out of a family scrapbook, don't you wonder about it? Who lived there? Why was it important to someone? Where, exactly, was the photo taken? When?
Remembering the laughter and the better times, the young ones playing on the porch or under the tree. All so busy now with no time for visits, except for Christmas. Still, it’s hard to put away those playthings….thinking “maybe tomorrow”.
