The Tunny reconstruction. This is the UK version of the Lorenz machine, and it was built entirely from the intercepts themselves - no one saw one until after the war! Amazingly it worked exactly as the original Lorenz did, proof that the cryptanalysts were right with their suppositions.

The small tower in the middle of this picture houses Bletchley Park's water tanks, but also housed the tenth MI6 radio transmission station set up - or Station X. The Antenna was run from this tower to a large cypress tree in front of the mansion. The station was removed seven miles away when it was pointed out that transmitting to Northern Europe from a place you are trying to keep secret was not the smartest idea...
