About The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story is a limited series that takes you inside the O.J. Simpson trial with a riveting look at the legal teams battling to convict or acquit the football legend of double homicide. Based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin, it explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution overconfidence, defense shrewdness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt. From Executive Producers Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski and Brad Falchuk, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story stars John Travolta, Cuba Gooding Jr., Sarah Paulson, David Schwimmer, Courtney B. Vance, Sterling Brown, Nathan Lane, Kenneth Choi, Christian Clemenson and Bruce Greenwood. The limited series is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.

Music by Georges Garvarentz-- The film stars Telly Savalas, Peter Fonda, Christopher Lee, O.J. Simpson, and Maud Adams--

On the field, athletes are masters of physical prowess and strategy. However, when they are off the field, what do they do? Us fans rarely get a glimpse into the secret life of our favorite sports stars. While many lead normal (albeit wealthy) lives, there is a select few that fail to separate...

On June 17, 1994, OJ Simpson, who had agreed to turn himself in on charges of murder, was found being driven by his friend Al Cowlings in this white Ford Bronco. The infamous "car chase" was shown nationwide in prime time on television. Simpson was later found not guilty on the charges.

I'm not sure why anyone would want a picture of OJ on their bike, but they did!

Former football star O. J. Simpson checked into the O'Hare Plaza Hotel on the morning of June 13, 1994. He received a phone call from the LAPD that, the night before, his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and waiter Ronald Goldman had been murdered. He checked out shortly thereafter. Simpson's own blood was found in the room but he claimed he had cut his hand smashing a glass in rage upon hearing of the murder.

For years afterward the hotel offered a tour of Room 915, the "O. J. Simpson Room."

John Wayne Gacy, Jr., who committed his murders in his house not far from here, was executed a month earlier.

Orenthal James "O. J." Simpson (born July 9, 1947), nicknamed "The Juice", is a retired American football player and actor. Simpson was the first professional football player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season, a mark he set in 1973. While six other players have passed the 2,000 rush yard mark, he stands alone as the only player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a 14-game season (professional football changed to a 16-game season in 1978).

He holds the record for the single season yards-per-game average, which stands at 143.1 ypg. Simpson was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985.

After retiring from professional football, Simpson had a successful career as a football broadcaster and actor.

His aunt gave him the name Orenthal, which supposedly was the name of a French actor she liked.

Simpson was born in San Francisco, growing up he lived in the housing projects of the Potrero Hill neighborhood.

In his early teenage years, he joined a street gang called the Persian Warriors and was briefly incarcerated at the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center. He attended Galileo High School (currently Galileo Academy of Science and Technology) in San Francisco.

O.J. Simpson rushes for 2,003 yards in 1973.

what the hell is social justice? probably not that important. because if it was, brad pitt would make sure i learned what it is. *he* made it into the dictionary, afterall... so dreamy.

let's save our energy to immortalize the juice. hey, did you know that he went to galileo high in san francisco? he also has a pimple on his left butt cheek right now, want to virtual pop it? i know a site with a minigame.

next i look up saved by the bell.

Today makes the 20th anniversary of the beginning of OJ Simpson's legal problems: the June 13th 1994 murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, followed by the infamous slow-motion Bronco chase, the lengthy, televised trial and its cast of characters, the glove that didn't fit, etc.

On this week 20 years ago, Chad and I had been camping in Moab, Utah and various parts of Colorado, completely out of touch with news. We'd heard nothing about it, until a late night coffee stop somewhere in Kansas, en route back to Illinois. The mini-mart clerk had been watching the constant news of it on TV but her exclamation made no sense to me whatsoever...
