Debranded former West Midlands Railway Class 153 Super Sprinter DMUs 153364, 153354, 153334, 153365, 153356 and 153366 are seen passing Catholme forming service 5Z55 14.42 Tyseley L.M.D to Burton Wetmore Sidings.
Following their withdrawal these 6 units along with the remaining WMR Class 153 fleet 153371 and 153375 were due to transferred to Transport for Wales. In the end they ended up in storage at Burton before 153334, 153354, 153356, 153371 and 153375 were sent to Long Marston for storage.
153364, 153365 and 153366 were the unlucky 3 of the 8 being stripped and scrapped. 153334 has been purchased by Ashville Aggregates for repurposing as a reception/waiting room at their headquarters. 153354 had its engine removed and was sent to Swindon where it is to be used as a training vehicle for Network Rail. 153371 is now at The Great Central Railway in Loughborough where, along with ex EMR Class 153 153308 is being used for training for Cross Country/East Midlands Railway. 153356 and 153375 still remain at Long Marston and it is doubtful whether a new use will be found for them.

East Midlands Railway Class 153 Super Sprinter DMUs 153385, 153381, 153383, 153376 and 153311 are seen passing Stenson Junction working from Derby Etches Park Sidings to Burton Wetmore Sidings for storage following withdrawal from service.
Former West Midlands Railway Class 153 Super Sprinters 153371 and 153375 pass Elford loop working service 5D85 13.30 from Burton Wetmore sidings to Cardiff Canton sidings. The units were destined not to reach their destination having failed at Abbotswood Junction. The pair were rescued by 153365 and 153354 and returned to Wetmore Sidings.
Destined for a new life with Transport for Wales their failure resulted in both units, along with the remainder of the former Class 153 fleet instead being placed into long term storage at Long Marston.

Rail Operations Group Class 37 diesel locomotive 37510 "Orion" and former London, North Western Railway Class 350 Siemens Desiro EMU 350408 await departure from Stafford working 5Q57 Northampton Electric Maintenance Depot to Derby Litchurch Lane. The movement from Northampton entails a reversal at Stafford to enable access to the Birmingham to Derby line at Wichnor Junction.
GB Railfreight Class 47 diesel locomotive 47739 hauls off lease Class 221 Super Voyager DMU 221101 towards Barton-under-Needwood working 5D96 Derby Litchurch Lane to Barton Central Rivers Depot.
221101 is one of 6 ex Avanti West Coast Class 221;s returned to the leasing company, Beacon Rail, and for which a new role has yet to be found. The remaining ex Avanti stock is now either working for Cross Country Trains or Grand Central.
221101 was the only Voyager to receive a new livery in Virgin Trains being given their "flowing silk" livery. Today 221101 remains distinctive in that it still retains its white colouring.

Debranded and off lease Class 221 Super Voyager DMU 221101, still sporting its Virgin Trains name of "Squadron One" waits to leave Central Rivers depot running as 5D97 to Derby Litchurch Lane as Cross Country Trains Class 220 Voyager DMU 220014 passes working 1V54 08.07 Edinburgh to Plymouth.
Following their withdrawal from revenue earning service on 23rd November, Northern Class 153 Super Sprinter DMUs 153360, 153328, 153331, 153359 and 153307 are seen in storage at Newton Heath depot.
The units are due to move over the weekend of 18th and 19th December with those leased from Porterbrook going to Long Marston and those with Angel Trains to Ely Papworth Sidings

Rail Operations Group Class 37 diesel locomotive 37800 "Cassiopeia" hauls ex London, North Western Railway Siemens Class 350 Desiro EMU 350404 through Rugeley Trent Valley running as 5Q57 1034 Northampton Electric Maintenance Depot to Derby Adtranz Litchurch Lane. The service had headed to Stafford from Northampton to reverse and enable access to the South Staffs line at Trent Valley Junction, Lichfield.

With the Great Western Class 43 HSTs going off-lease on a weekly basis, i thought that it was about time to upload this shot of one of these workhorses at a classic location... 43190 leads a London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads service through Sydney Gardens on the approach to Bath Spa station.
Difficult to catch on camera are trains from operator HSL Logistics Belgium. Even more difficult to spot was the golden 66. Waiting at the crossing, it came by so I went for a panic shot. Unfortunately, this "bling bling" 66 went offlease recently, reducing the chance to see it again in Belgium considerably... 30/04/2019

In poor light, exacerbated by heavy drizzle, Northern Class 153 Super Sprinter DMUs 153358, 153330, 153332 and 153363 head past Hademore working 5Q94 09.52 Newton Heath T.M.D to Long Marston.
This could quite possibly be the last time that these units are seen on the main line as following withdrawal from service they are heading to Long Marston for storage. As the units are not PRM compliant and would require considerable work to bring them up to current standards it is quite possible that their next journey may be to the scrapyard.
Minus its FGW branding, off-lease HST 43146 leaves the GWML for the last time and heads north forming 5Z46 1202 St Philips Marsh to Ely Papworth Sidings, at North Somerset Junction, Bristol on 1st December 2017
This ECS working was operated by Rail Operations Group, the HST set was LA12 and the rear power car was 43143.
Former Greater Anglia Class 153 Super Sprinters 153314, 153322 and 153309 are seen approaching Water Orton East Junction on their journey from Norwich Crown Point to Swansea Landore. These 3 are the first of 2 such movements as all 5 of the Greater Anglia 153's are transferring to Transport for Wales. 153306 and 153335 are scheduled to make the same journey on Tuesday December 3rd.

Thameslink Class no. 319451 is seen in the rather odd surroundings of Kings Norton Platform 4, sandwiched between 2 barrier coaches and being dragged by Rail Operations Group no. 47812, which was working 5V64 a STP 1505 Wolverton Works-Long Marston drag. The 319, now off-lease, was due to be stored at the Long Marston facility.
Currently on hire from Redroutemaster hireusuk to Burton based Midland Classic is this London survivor. Still carrying its Go Ahead London fleetnumber PVL281, it was new to Camberwell for routes 35 and 40 with London Central until moving to Sutton for routes 93, 151, 154 and 213. It lasted there until 5th February 2018 when after service on the 213 that day, it was withdrawn from service. Redroutemaster acquired the bus in February along with PVL286 for use on special events and Rail Replacements. With extra buses needed for winter only works Services X11, X39 and X40 to Burton Boots distribution centre and the JL1 to Redditch John Lewis distribution centre, this PVL and an ex Lothian Trident President are on loan. The Volvo B7TL Plaxton President returns to South Birmingham once more here, after NXWM withdrew theirs a few years ago, as PVL281 is seen here on the edge of Birmingham as it heads for Redditch iForce on the JL1. A very lucky survivor, as ex London PVLs and VP/Ls don’t seem to be selling well at Ensignbus, with Enviro 400s and Volvo B9TLs now going offlease, amongst the last Tridents, VLAs, WVLs and VLWs in service until recently. A real (Midland) Classic that proved to be one of Plaxtons most successful models, after the Pointer of course, once numbering 419 with Go Ahead London alone, with all of the big groups taking them in varying numbers, the President continues to fade away.....
Possibly coming off hire with GTS Rail (I), Hupac no. 193 490 runs light past Einigen in the direction of Bern. It has since been hired by WRS (Widmer Rail Services).

2nd October 2016., Dublin Airport, Ireland
Seen here arriving at Dublin approx 30 minutes after sunset from Karachi, Pakistan
This Airbus A330 is no stranger to Dublin as it was operated by Aer Lingus until May 2009 when it was acquired by Russian carrier Vladivostok Avia, It eventually went to Pakistan carrier Shaheen Air in July 2012 on lease from ILFC
The aircraft is expected to depart Dublin on 3rd October 2016 for Orlando, Florida where it may end up being scrapped
Operating 1C91 1733 London Paddington- Paignton 43132 is seen at Newton Abbot with a green set, 43187 on the rear. 132 would retire from south west services on this day when it later arrived at Laira depot.
