Young talented students from prestigious universities and top business schools met at the ESCP Europe's London Campus on 22nd & 23rd February to participate in the 2019 School’s Energy Trading Challenge.
Jointly organised by our MSc in Energy Management (MEM) students, in collaboration with Smart Global, ESCP Europe, and its Research Centre for Energy Management (RCEM), this year’s challenge sponsored by Glencore - one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 90 commodities, with 90 offices in over 50 countries- provided an excellent platform for students to learn key insights on trading oil and gas products.
London Campus Dean Prof. Dr Simon Mercado, Prof. Dr Kostas Andriosopoulos, Executive Director of the RCEM and Academic Director of ESCP Europe's Energy Management Programmes, and Luke Horswell, Director of Smart Global delivered the welcomed 205 attendees representing 23 universities at this truly international competition.

High school students from Workplace Learning Connection visited the University Of Iowa Carver College Of Medicine to experience a day in the life of a medical student. Students engaged in simulations and activities with current UI Carver College of Medicine faculty, staff, and medical students. Students first learned basic physical exam skills and communication skills for talking with patients in a Performance-Based Assessment session with simulated patients. Students then practiced diagnosing a patient as they walked through a case study with current medical students. Finally, students had the opportunity to learn all about medical school as they talked with current medical students and engaged in a hands-on activity to learn about anatomy.
Thurrock Council Civic Offices are located in the heart of Grays town centre. The offices is set in two buildings with the larger one covering four floors of office hot desking space with a modern decor. The smaller building covers two floors with a older decor that could replicate a 80s style office - the area was previously used in the BBC series 'White Gold'. The Civic Offices also house a council chamber, four large committee rooms and a modern, open reception area.

The Civic Offices is located within a short walking distance of Grays town centre which has abundance of shops and retail outlets. It is also located across the road from South Essex College and a short walk from the Thames riverside at Grays Beach.

This is one of only four pictures that came out before the shutter of the Minox died! Unfortunately you won´t notice it until the film is developed due to the very, very quite shutter. I will send it to Minox for repairs because of it´s otherwise great condition...
