When I processed this image, it all appeared as one paragraph instead of several, although the spaces between the words were maintained. The purpose of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is to recognize text within an image, and I think that’s why the majority of the text appeared as it does in the original .jpeg file. Most letters, numbers, and punctuation symbols were recognized, although there were two instances where this was not the case. For example, one “H” appeared as “I-l” and “your” appeared as “yo1u'.” I believe that this is the case because the image may not have been of high enough quality, causing the OCR software not to recognize all letters as text. The large “T” at the beginning of the second paragraph was also not recognized. This “T” is intended to be ornate and did not appear because it is an image as opposed to text.
