My casual observations seem to indicate that the Long-tailed Grackles and the Red-winged Blackbirds occupy the same areas of the cattails. I've even seen male red-wings and grackles team up to drive Crows out of the area. This photograph shows that in the very least the female boat-tails and the male red-wings coexist with the male giving her his best pose. However it doesn't look like she's interested.

There is a charming village in the northern part of Hungary, located at the foot of the Börzsöny hills. When the cherry plums are in full blossom and the weather is nice, crowds visit this place. That's why I went there at dawn to enjoy the scene and the silence, undisturbed. 🌸💜💚
