"Negative, I am a meat popsicle." - LEGO Korben Dallas
It's been a while since I built a custom LEGO model. This one was insanely fun to figure out. It's not a micro model like I usually try to build, but it is a fairly small version of that iconic flying taxi Bruce Willis bangs up in The Fifth Element.

As we head into the holidays, I wanted to post this before I got too distracted. 2017 was an incredibly busy year creatively for me. To be honest, I didn’t expect to create any MOCs this year … but I’m so glad I did. Though not the most prolific year, the models I did build were the most challenging yet!
Thank you once again to the viewers, commenters, bloggers and followers who (as always) helped encourage me to keep building.
I’ll catch ya again in 2018!
"Not very sporting to fire on an unarmed opponent. I thought you were supposed to be good. Aren't you the "good" man? C'mon, Deckard. Show me what you're made of." - LEGO Roy Batty
"Pew pew!" - LEGO Rick Deckard
Another micro blaster. This time it's Deckard's pistol from Blade Runner. I've always loved the double barrel/trigger look of this blaster. It took me a while to figure out the handle, especially after using the carrot for Han's blaster. What do you think?

"This is the way" - LEGO Mandalorians
A positive result of being home more during this crazy quarantine is more time to finish models. I started this one after I saw the first episode of The Mandalorian back in November of 2019 and it was another slow-burn build.
Honestly, I didn't really like the Razor Crest the first time I saw it - it looked kinda squat, and those oversized engines were weird. But after seeing it a few more times, I came to love it's quirky shape and interesting proportions.

Blade Runner 2049, like the original film, is an absolute work or art. I built a minimal police spinner model inspired by the original film, but I gotta say, I think I dig this new 2049 version more. After I found that Hero Factory Shield piece, the rest of the model pretty much built itself - well not really, but you know what I mean lol.

“The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter.” - LEGO Garrick Ollivander
It’s been ages since I posted a model here, but it feels great to do it now! I’ve had a few things in the works for a while, but this is the first things I’ve finished.
Here’s a fun little (although not too far from actual size) version of Harry Potter’s wand.
I got the idea when I saw the minifig tree costume piece. There are a few other interesting parts included as well.

New custom background and folder icons for my workhorse machine ... definitely has a retro sci-fi feel. I might eventually try to animate the energy bar at the bottom and/or add some more techno-graphics, but for now it’s static. #ui #uidesign #minimaldesign #design #graphics #blackandwhite #darktheme #scifi #scifidesign #background #desktopbackground #wallpaper #personalbrand #welcometothemachine #obedientmachine

My 10 year old son found the handle and barrel and said we should build a sci-fi blaster. He’s stoked with the result ... and so am I. #pewpew #scifi #blaster #prop #toy #imagination #buildsomethingnew #assemblage #obedientmachine

Loving these new sticker/patch designs. Dig the triangle extra hard, just not sure about the sharp vs rounded inner line corners. Also still working on the text/phrasing. What do you think?
