As I reflect on the year, I pause and say "thank you" for my friends here in SL. With the crazy world we live in, I am thankful for a place that I feel safe and still be social. A pleasant section of ocean beach near Newport is named Nye Beach. It is an historic area that has long been popular as a tourist destination.

Nye's piano bar in Northeast Minneapolis. The Twin Cities icon will close in April to make way for new construction.
No fireworks needed here, the colors at sunset are unreal and even when the sun has has set the sky continues to glow!
