Sunset just over the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge of the New York City. The clouds were very crazy, the East River was somehow every clam. In a sudden, the NYC didn't look like very busy anymore.

New York City has one of the most recognizable skylines in the world. Standing 546m, One World Trade Center represents the pinnacle of New York's architecture and is also the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Best viewed at sunset or night time when lights start to turn on, the view is breath-taking from many vantage points. This particular photograph was taken from Hudson Square, a small neighbourhood in New York City.

A dramatic New York City sunset casting golden light behind the iconic Empire State Building and the leaning towers of the American Copper Buildings. Shot from the East River, the skyline forms a bold silhouette against the glowing sky, capturing the moment when architecture and atmosphere align.

Got the chane to meet Tom Fruin and shoot his original NYC watertower overlooking the Manhattan Bridge and Lower Manhattan.
Sunset over the skyscrapers and rooftops of Manhattan looking south towards One World Trade Center (1 WTC).

We stood there,
your hand in mine,
as the skyscrapers
dotted the horizon
like nervous heartbeats
syncopated in time
to the city's nervous
energy.
And as the sun caressed
our faces
with its warmth,
our hearts
skipped together
over the buildings
towards the horizon
infinite and full
of life.

Inside the Central Park, the sun is setting. The park become very quiet and beautiful. A few people running pass. They are all enjoying the rare peace inside a busy city.

This was taken many months ago. I can't believe I'm just posting it now. The New York City Skyline at sunset. The sunset was happening directly behind me. I turned around and was just able to get the resonating pinks glowing off of the sides of the buildings. This is a 9 vertical shot pano taken from Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The pano stretching added a weird effect to the clouds. They almost looked cloned stamped. I swear they are not. I try to go here every time I go to the East Coast. Great view.

The Hudson Yards glass towers reflecting the light off the setting sun on a cool December evening. I shot this from atop a hill in NJ. You can see the row of New Jersey neighborhoods on the ridge just in front of the skyscrapers. A bit of compression from a telephoto lens from this perspective makes the buildings look massive.

New York City,
you are:
the tears that I blink back when I stare into the sun as it slides away from the remains of the day into night;
the dreams which are held close to my heart bound only by imagination;
the sliver of hope that I have clung to in my darkest times as if hope was the only ledge I could hold onto at the edge of the universe sitting between the chasm of nothingness and being;
the city that holds the key to the rest of the world.
---
These are the rooftops of an area of lower Manhattan located between the Lower East Side and Chinatown known as Two Bridges due to its proximity to the Manhattan Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge.
