Not an original composition, but one I wanted to take for quite a while, mainly because of the technical challenges. This panoramic consists of 5 images stitched together, each with an average exposure time of 6 minutes. It took about an hour to shoot the whole set, accounting for the boats passing by, of which there were way more than I expected at 7am. I used a 16 stop and a 4 stop gradual ND filter, 5 vertical shots @ 24mm, settings ISO 100 f/8.0
Je suis sur le ferry de Staten Island la seule chose gratuite à NY ...
I'm on the Staten Island Ferry the only free thing in NY...
My father's sister married Dewey Delaire. Their oldest child; my cousin Paul, Organized a family reunion of the Delaires at Lake George, NY. My sister and I attended.
My mom grew up around this area and was commenting on how the hills make her feel like home. I have always lived in cities that are much flatter but, as I was leaving Phoenix at the end of my spring trip, I ran into a stranger who had coincidentally just moved to Phoenix from Chicago and was making random conversation at a vegan restaurant. He had always lived in Chicago and said, "The first time I saw a mountain, I cried."
Anyway, landscapes are interesting. The concept of home is also interesting. Identity, architecture, clouds-all fascinating things. Have. nice day!
This was taken on the walk between the Rockwell Museum of Art and the Corning Museum of Glass.
