A girl participating in a group of historical reconstructions. The outfit refers to the 14th Siberian Rifle Regiment. During the partitions of Poland, many Poles were incorporated into this formation and fought, inter alia, during the First World War.
A large redwood tree was growing out of an even larger nurse log. We hiked this trail in pouring rain, but it was wonderful to see this amazing redwood forest.

My mom is about to start her 54th year as a nurse. I made this portrait of her with a Pentx 6x7 on Ilford Delta 100 film.
I have had wonderful care here, and we enjoyed al the nurses, some of whom might have thought we were a bit weird, but I think they enjoyed us, too. :-)
