This is a recreation of the original slinky as sold in 1945. The box is signed by the first boy who ever played with one, Tom James, whose father designed it. I asked Tom what he first did with it...and he said he tried it on the stairs! HMM!!

Macro of an extract of some of the information shown on the back of a wine bottle. Perhaps, the info we don't take much notice of ...... the wine is actually a Chilean , Pinot Grigio 2019, from the Central Valley ....aromas of apple,pear and hints of citrus fruits ...... medium body with notes of orange peel and honey ......... Cheers

Our trip to India was amazing and this was one of the little keepsakes we picked up at the Taj Mahal, a 40 Year Calendar. Moving the year to the current month (top right) , the days of the week are correctly displayed in the bottom window, it even caters for leap years! The whole disk only measures 4.5cm across so covering 40 years it really does give a very big picture of what's to come, and saves throwing away calendars every year!

This Official Lionel Train watch was given to me by a dear friend. Besides the train on the dial, there is a button on the side and when pressed makes the sound of a train chugging down the tracks, the clanging of bells, and the authentic sound of a train whistle.
This is a 80 cents stamp for the 50th birthday of “Die Sendung mit der Maus”, a TV program for children on German television (every Sunday since 1971). It takes about 30 minutes. It is produced by Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne. Short cartoons, funny stories and at least one short film that shows how an object is made or how something works. In between there are cartoons where the mouse appears together with the blue elephant and the yellow duck.
The stamp is about 3 x 4,5 cm.
This is a detail of a "200 Lire" coin (the old italian currency) found near the sea shore by my wife.
More in detail, it is a "special edition" for the 1992 "World Exhibition of thematic Philately" held in Genova.
I tried to perfectly align the focus plane with the coin, but the high magnification (and my poor skills) prevented me to obtain a perfect result.
Therefore, the left part of the image is sharper than the right one.
Anyway, I hope that you will like the result.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate numbers and letters at Macro Mondays.
I truly had a hard time to choose a concept for this picture. But that is something I like with Flickr challenges: the possibilities of interpretation are endless… I did an opinion survey with my husband and he suggested : « A » and « 1 ». His explanation was that when everything is A1 you can’t complain and you are always happy. And he is right my friends ! So I hope you will have a « A1 » Monday and a « A1 » week !
FYI: there is no hidden message in this picture… The letters are very, very random and if you can see a logical message in any language it is truly a coincidence …
FYI2: my alphabet beads are 0,4mm and my « 1 » is from an old calendar.
My second week of vacations at home starts right now. So I have to do some « animation » if I want my sons to spend sometime outside and not in front of the computer !!

Bei „B“ bleibt der Verschluss so lange geöffnet, wie der Auslöser gedrückt ist, bei „T“ öffnet der erste Druck auf den Auslöser den Verschluss, der nächste Druck schließt ihn.
