CHAPEL X - THE VICTORY OF ST. FRANCIS OVER THE TEMPTATIONS
Built and decorated between 1640 and 1661 when the bishop of the diocese, on a pastoral visit, commissioned the frescoes and sculptures to complete it. The architecture is inspired by the models of the Sacred Mount of Varese. The paintings are the work of the Milanese brothers Carlo and Francesco, and Giuseppe Nuvolone (1654). The statues are the work of Antonio Pino da Bellagio from Como and show Francis, naked, among the brambles of a rose garden where he threw himself to resist a carnal temptation and an Angel is dressing him again. On the left, the grotesque demons are depicted during a daring escape while on the right a host of angels show the saint the road to the Porziuncola
The tendrils of a creeper looking for anything to hold on. The texture of this part of the plant its a little translucent and I could find the best way to expose it in black and white in this very abstract image.

Knot - Nudo
A knot is a particular order and structure in a section of rope or wire which narrows and closes it is not easy to undo itself. The function of the knot is to hold an object (including another string), or simply change their form to modify your original. The knots are formed by taking advantage of the friction of the rope with objects tied to prevent slipping.

Evening Regional Train to Alcázar de San Juan.
Regional Express 18027, operated by a veteran Renfe 470 series unit, speeds through Alzira station on its way to the Alcázar railway junction.
It is commendable to see that after more than 50 years of service (1974) and with several reforms and improvements behind it, the electric unit 470-019M (Ex 440-019) continues to fulfill its purpose.
