1st Night Shoot sesion. The objetive: Stars at the Caburgüa's Lake
Dudley railway tunnel, recently brought back into use as part of the town's new Very Light Rail test track.
The tunnel was opened in 1850 and carried trains until 1993. Considering it was disused for almost 30 years, very little repair work has been needed apart from some repointing and patching of a crack at the northern portal.
Taken on an NRR Tours visit.
I have yet to photograph an emperor moth but at least I have finally seen the caterpillar.

Freshly repainted into NRR colours, 42105 leads fellow preserved 42101 with the Cockatoo Run in tow, seen here at the beginning of the climb up to Robertson at Farmborough Heights.
Must say the NRR paint scheme looks fantastic, especially here in the sun!
At the launch of the new private operator, 42107 (and 42109) stand at Murwillumbah having worked the first train from Casino.
A C40--8 and a tattered ex-L&N C30-7 are pushing on the rear of a 90-car loaded South Carolina Public Service Authority (SCWX) unit train at Ocoonita, Virginia on the L&N Cumberland Valley Subdivision on a pleasant afternoon in August 1993.

This is an Isuzu Refrigeration Truck. I was wondering if this was an original paint job, so I googled Isuzu box trucks. They show them as model NPR, but this truck looks like NRR. Apparently, the NJ distribution center claims these are some of the most popular box trucks on the market. Hmmm...I’ve only ever seen a couple. I couldn’t find this paint job, and I can’t identify the year.
Anyway, I don’t know what is being hauled around that may need refrigeration. Maybe crabs.
This shot was another one taken out of the car window, while I was trying not to be seen, so it isn’t that clear. A few weeks ago, I was trying to get a picture of this truck when this guy’s neighbor walked up to me and wanted to know what I was doing. So this is the best I could do. HTT
Its 0630 and sunrise at Yunta on 28-4-21 as the SSR crew prepare 42103,GM22 and the AK cars in the goods siding at Yunta before heading eastbound towards Sydney recording the crossing loops at locations enroute
August 20, 1992: The First Mine Run rounds a curve at Kitts, Kentucky on the Clover Fork Branch, bound for Loyall yard with their catch of the day.
The lead unit, U23B 3274, began life as Louisville & Nashville 2745, built in September 1973.
This branch is now out of service, and severed near its connection with the Cumberland Valley Subdivision mainline at Harlan Junction, Kentucky.

Paying the yard on the morning of 28-4-21 is the AK cars recording the crossing loop heading eastbound with 42103,GM22
Over the weekend of the 30th and 31st October 1999 Northern River Rail operated several special trains to Brisbane. The Saturday train is seen at Border Loop.
With the historic Peterborough roundhouse in the foreground, The AK cars to Sydney hauled by 42103,GM22 sneak past in the background heading towards Sydney on 27-4-21.
Once an operating tourist railway, Steamtown Peterborough is now a static museum, housing a collection of locos over the three gauges that operated in the town until the late 1980's such as NSU55, 532 and 863 , Steam loco T199 amongst some others.
The ARTC AK recording cars arrive in Crystal Brook hauled by privately owned 42103 combining with SSR's GM22 on 27-4-21. after getting in clear of the signal, the train will push back to Rocky River before proceeding to record crossing loops enroute towards Sydney.

Derby City Transport 147 is a Volvo B10M-50 Citybus with Northern Counties bodywork, new in 1986.
It passed to Arriva Derby in 1998 and was renumbered 4347 in 2000, remaining in service until 2008.
Having just pulled out of the Mingary crossing loop, 42103,GM22 and the eastbound AK cars get up to speed and cross the Mingary Creek on 28-4-21
