Though not this November, but last year (we have had a few days with a little snow - but it resulted in no great shots).

And it only lasted a few hours...

A walk through the Sachsenrieder Forest

"The stripped and shapely

Maple grieves

The ghosts of her

Departed leaves.

The ground is hard,

As hard as stone.

The year is old,

The birds are flown.

And yet the world,

In its distress,

Displays a certain

Loveliness"

Thanks for the visit .....happy weekend :-)

No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds! –

I shot this photograph in November, but I haven't published it until today. Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, England. It's the area where the North sea meets the wide Thames estuary. A haven for sailors, wildlife and visitors to the old town.

I used the "Olson" effect in post-processing, not to everyone's taste but I like it on certain shots. I always say when I use this process 👍

So we're speeding towards that time of year,

to the day that marks that you're not here;

And I think I'll want to be alone,

so please understand if I don't answer the phone;

I'll just sit and stare at my deep blue walls,

until I can see nothing at all;

Only particles, some fast, some slow,

all my eyes can see is all I know;

But I'm about to give this one more shot,

And find it in myself, I'll find it in myself.

November. Usually a month to forget, I could easily skip in the calendar. Not this year, at least so far. With too many holidays left I took a couple of days off, working in the garden, or going pike fishing like today. The weather is great, misty mornings, sunny days, only the early sunsets remind us that the year is coming to an end. More remarkable than the catch was the dry weather, since April our area has not seen significant rain. Our club lake has lost an estimated 50% of the water. So far the fish have perfectly mastered the situation, let us hope the next month will show up with significant rain falls. Vegetation has recovered far better, the first few centimeters of the soil are wet now, the world looks green as in Spring. Gross Aschen, Lower-Saxony, Germany

It seems like yesterday, but this shot is part of a series of shots taken in November, which you can find in the album created. The day was incredibly beautiful and I took a lot of photos, so, every now and then I find one that I like to share ....

“The unwelcome November rain had perversely stolen the day's last hour and pawned it with that ancient fence, the night.”

― by F. Scott Fitzgerald,

So far November has been a green month, not really looking like autumn with red and brown colours. Finally this has changed and we used the dry weather for a tour around the hills of the Wiehengebirge near Porta Westfalica. The late afternoon light was perfect and we enjoyed every minute.
