African lion (Panthera leo) mom and cub. This youngster is part of the aptly named "Sand River Pride" which at the time of this photograph was comprised of 4 lionesses, several yearlings, and 9-week old cubs. There were also several 6-week old cubs that were tucked away in a safe location and not traveling with the pride.

Bagheera (my dog) is jealous, she thinks her nose is prettier. And another thinker, my husband thinks this would be ideal if the name of this group was ‘Make me Scared’.
HSoS!
The cats are incredibly sleepy at them moment ! I can't blame them, the weather is windy, cold and wet, but I'm beginning to wonder what I'm going to photograph in the next weeks and months ...
Two Red Squirrel pups come face-to-face on their first day out of the nest hole in a pine tree. There were actually three pups that were exploring the big wide world together.

And no the picture is not flipped or angled this really was a nose dive., and perhaps it does look more like an anatomy book shot than a wildlife shot but I thought it was worth uploading

This was a resident cow I found on a mountain pasture in the beautiful Montafon/Austria. I couldn't resist getting very close to the cow with my new 16-35mm Lens. Later people told me that this can be quite dangerous 👀

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ The Long-nosed Dragon.. The Aussie version of Anolis. ♥
Wide angle portrait of a show-stopping adult male Long-nosed Dragon (Gowidon longirostris) in his best breeding suit. We encountered this lizard on an arid desert sandplain in stinking hot weather just after the first summer storms hit. We were not far from the Barkly Homestead in the spectacular Barkly Tableland region of the Northern Territory.

With its imposing horns and powerful stance, the rhinoceros is one of the iconic giants of the savanna. Unfortunately, this symbol of strength is also a victim of human greed. Intensive poaching, driven by demand for its horns, has decimated rhinoceros populations in their natural habitat and even in protected parks. Today, these animals are fighting for survival, reminding us of the urgent need to protect our biodiversity before it’s too late …🤔

With noses kept together with Belzona epoxy, these two bulldogs still occasionally slug it out on the North Shore
This is one of the carved pumpkins at the pumpkin Festival which had been placed into a kind of wooden house from where he peeked out and looked slightly creepy. :)
This nose belongs to the older one of the Kunekune pigs at the park. It's a dirty nose but pigs use their snout to dig in the dirt and search for food.
I love the heart-shaped marking on the chin of this pig. :)
Red Nose Day is this Thursday on May 26th. It's fun and it's for the kids. Red Nose Day
