Luce di mezzogiorno

At noon, the thin air smeared warm and sultry on the earth already parched with dryness. The hardest task was finding a shadow stamp and a gust of wind...

...

But the weather is changing...

Just a few more days till winter solstice:-))

THE WARM WIND OF SUMMER

former Zülpich train station

Rediscovered this one last night. Had forgotten about it, though I'm not sure how as I took it on a wonderful walk through a previously unfamiliar part of London (Bermondsey) that also yielded this shot amongst others: flic.kr/p/Jqo72W.

Gazania flowers (Gazania rigens /Mittagsgold) on the terrace 😄 For a sunny weekend ☀️

They only look like this in the hours around noon, hence the German name 'Mittagsgold' (Midday Gold). The rest of the day the blossoms are closed.

The Golden Hour begins near a farm on Noon Road.

Drawing a perfect circle in one continuous line was a sign

of mastery. Rembrandt did it in one of his latest self-portraits.

Noguchi however, did the opposite. Read what he wrote

about Sun a Noon.

The assembly technique, no doubt with industrial help, is related

to Noguchi's activity as a designer. Some of his furniture, like

his famous glass coffee table and his paper lanterns, are still in production and very popular.

Fuji X-Pro1. Village High Street. Almost empty. It is getting hot. Time to go inside.

This is a view from skiing at noon yesterday. Note the greys, the flatness of light. This is what we deal with up here. Still, we get more than those folks up in Fairbanks.

A kingfisher's call was accompanying me along the Two Bays Walking Track and it was just after midday when the Sacred Kingfisher finally appeared on a dead tree at the Long Point Track. I had no choice but to use this opportunity "in the glaring light of high noon" .

a dense fog descended onto us in the high noon at a hill station, and I had to take a shot.
