This piece by Nolij in Coburg is a tribute to MF Doom (Daniel Dumile) a British-American rapper and record producer who passed away in 2020.
A recent project decorated some ugly construction hoardings in Chapel St, Prahran. Eighteen of our best artists and graffiti writers worked on the project which was curated by Juzpop.
This piece is by Nolij.
Trio work by Nolji as part of the Any Colour you Want paint jam in Croydon- feb 2017......Just missing an A to complete the song...
I don’t post as much graffiti compared to street art, but this magnificent, epic (there really aren't enough superlatives to describe it) wall in Tullamarine definitely deserves to be posted. At 173m long and 3.5m tall this wall is huge. It has a Spiderman-theme and was painted over a two-week period by 20 of our greatest writers from across the country.
It must have been a huge undertaking to organise, plan and execute this.
It was hard to know how best to represent it and I really wanted to retain the integrity of each graffiti piece and how they interacted with the characters interspersed between so I ended up shooting 18 frames that duplicate the graffiti across consecutive frames. I’ve chosen to place three frames in each of 6 images which I’ve posted today and yesterday. So today I’m posting the second half of the wall in three posts. This is the fifth three sections of the wall.
Writers involved were;
Sugar, Ends, Dogfight, Tenfold, Sken, Amuse, Higher, Dont, Nolij, Shime, Shelf, Same, Tryst, Porno, Portl, Amuck, Odysee, Shem, Strap, Pho, CrunchKiller
I hope I didn’t miss anyone.
