Eating Healthy, Day 8 [160/365] - I've successfully went 8 days without junk food. Okay, fine, I've cheated twice. On Thursday I had a cola bottle candy, and a slurpee this weekend. Not bad for 2 nights of camping! Not a single smore for this girl! I'm struggling with pizza and chocolate cravings, but eating healthy feels great... and sometimes it can be yummy too. Mmm, strawberries. Only 12 days left, and then we will indulge in an entire ube cake in celebration of my birthday and going to Vegas!
I got a new camera for my birthday — a Fuji X100S! I have some Flickr friends that use this camera and get great results with it. I’m excited to start learning how to use it. So far, the biggest adjustment is the fixed lens. Although I’ve been using a 50mm on my DSLR for years, this camera has a wider lens.
This door caught my attention while walking along McCaul Street between College and Dundas. I liked the geometry and the hand written “No Junk.” It does seem a lot of the mail we get these days is junk — flyers, condo advertisements, etc.
Look Ma, No Candy! [75/365] - I was on a roll when it came to being healthy today. Not only did Ryan and I spend an entire 2 hours at the gym, but I stopped to buy groceries on the way home and didn't buy ANY junk food. That's the first time that has ever happened! Later on, Ryan came over and I was the very first to wish him a Happy 24th Birthday. Muahaha. I win! :)
Out in the Western Suburbs for work I spotted this regular looking house with a huge number of mail boxes out the front. I would have said that they had some scam going to collect and recycle advertising material, but all the letterboxes proudly pronounced: No Junk!

4 family containers of chili, beef roast, pressure cooked beef stew meat, 2 dinners of spinach ravioli and sauce, 4 containers of meat sauce, diced chicken(still in the crock pot) taco and burrito filling, and a huuuuuge lasagna in the oven. Tomorrow is veggie and baking prep and I'll have a full freezer for our crazy august, harvest, and all of us back to school!! #oamm #cleaneating #nojunk #NoMoreTakeout
