This photo was taken in August 2018 high on the trail to Cabane Grand Mountet and shows the dramatic effect of climate change on Swiss glaciers. Roc Noir is in the middle distance (centre, right) with Glacier Cornier on its right flank and Glacier Durand on the left. The peaks behind are Obergabelhorn (left), Pointe de Zinal (directly behind Roc Noir) and Dent Blanche.
