In celebration of man's modern achievement. During Earth Hour 2009, I turned on every light in my house. Both of my cars are idle. A ball of 6 strains of 100 professional outdoor Christmas lights hooked together with 6 balls of 100 lights each surrounding it. To top it off, a 600 watt halogen light pointing at the front door.
Sorry, it isn't as good as I want. I should have exposed another .5 or 1 stop.
Yes, there is fear of the pres. every promise broken, no transparancy, and change that can spin your head. Look out! AND no Hope in sight!

So, I was watching part of the DNC speech while Barry Hussein Obama was speaking. This is what it looked like.

My home brewed tea party poster... Viva true conservatism. So what if I'm one of the only people on flickr who's not drinking the kool-aid. By the way, this is the first time I've ever attended any demonstration, anywhere, for any reason. It is my believe that our government is on the wrong track and is killing this country. This isn't about not wanting to pay taxes. It's about not wanting an oppressive, overly powerful central government. So while we still have a constitution and the "freedom of speech", I'm cashing in on a little bit of that freedom which was hard fought and won by the blood of our patriots.
If anyone wants the high res file for printing up their own, let me know.
As far as I'm aware, 4/15/09 was the largest peaceful protest in American history.
Oh, and by the way... if you think Barack is the bomb... check this out:

We had about 6 pages on our ballot including about $900 million in new taxes and 10 constitutional amendments to vote on.

which one do you think he's riding in? Obama flies from Brackett field over san dimas, California, after usurping his power and giving away our san Gabriel mountains to the U.N. (as a national monument)
Unlovely Laurel, Maryland Friday October 11, 2013. Here's some of our fellow citizens exercising their First Amendment Rights by prancing about on the Gorman Road bridge over Interstate 95. In a close up you can see that the individual on the right is covering his face with his hand. Why? A surprising number of motorists honked as they passed the banners although the evening rush hour traffic was much lighter than normal due to the ongoing partial government shutdown caused by extremist Republican gangsters in Congress.
Tea baggers, assault weapon fetishists and other far right wing crackpots brandishing signs and flags show up with some frequency at this spot. Today's gathering here (there were similar overpass impeachment events across the USA...) was likely being staged in support of a rolling DC Beltway blockade by neo-facist militia influenced truckers and other actions by "Confederate heritage" goons, all united in advocating for the impeachment (or abdication by force...) of the "muslim president". Those events, widely promoted in disreputable corners of the internet, largely fizzled out. The trucker blockade was quickly dispersed by highway police and the 'johhny rebs' did little more than wave the Confederate flag in front of the White House and at the WWII Memorial on the National Mall. This time.
I empathize somewhat with the truckers. They've always gotten a raw deal and like most of us working folks have almost no friends in high places (certainly not our Disappointer In Chief Barack Obama and his crew...) but they've chosen the wrong target and the wrong solution if they want to make their lives better.
I stopped on the highway shoulder and got out of my Dodge to get the shot you see on this page; I don't recommend that you try this. My parked car was almost hit by an Escalade roaring down the shoulder as it exited from the nearby rest stop.

The Tea Party people held a rally calling for the health care reform bill currently being considered in congress to be stopped. Republican U.S. representative Michele Bachmann was the guest speaker. The crowd was filled with signs and stickers for Bachmann and other Republican candidates.
Signs in this picture:
"OBAMA LIES BABIES DIE!"
"NOBAMA HOPE NOBAMA CHANGE"
"NO TO HEALTCARE TAKEOVER" [sic]
A stunning Z1 with Alpina wheels and Silver Shadow III at the Ault Park Concours. I love the license plate on the Z1. It is also the second time I have seen this car, and probably will not see another in the US.
So, yeah, the Ashley Todd story was too awesome for me to pass up the chance to make her my Halloween costume as well.
In addition to the "GOP 4 LIFE" "tattoos" I have here, along with her trademark crazy hair, black eye, and backwards B, I also added an assortment of 7 or 8 home-made pro-McCain & anti-Obama buttons as well as a home-made "bumper sticker" pinned to my back (I'm not voluntarily giving that campaign one red cent, thankyouverymuch), all lovingly attaches to a Texas A&M shirt, since she's from College Station too. :D
I took dozens if frames of this guy, mostly from the side and back. Once I got a prime view, I realized he was just a young kid, a kid who was enjoying the spot light,. His girl friend was there, sitting on the sidelines just watching, but kind of in he same attire. Anyway, I still haven't found any extremist.

"Dan Fuchs said business was just starting to pick up at his kiosk in the Mall at Johnson City.
Fuchs’ business, the Graphic Edge, printed slogans and pictures on items such as coffee cups, bumper stickers and T-shirts. He said more than half of his business came from the sale of anti-Obama merchandise. Bumper stickers with slogans such as “SOS: Stop Obama’s Socialism,” “Nobama,” and “Chicago got the party, but the country got the hangover” were displayed around the small stand.
Now it appears Fuchs is out of business at the mall, but mall officials say this decision was not based upon political views.
Friday afternoon, Fuchs was handed a lease termination notice by mall officials and signed by Mall General Manager Tembra Aldridge. The letter states that the option to terminate the lease agreement is effective 11:59 p.m. today and that he must vacate the mall premises and remove his property before then.
Fuchs said he was given no reason for this termination and was shocked and upset. Thursday evening, Fuchs said mall officials met with him and told him to take down the anti-Obama items on display by closing time or face immediate eviction.
“I was upset about it, of course,” he said Friday prior to receiving the notice. “That’s my livelihood.”
Fuchs had been in business at the mall for around two months and hadn’t initially set out to create anti-Obama items. One day, he said a customer asked for an anti-Obama shirt to be printed. A few days later, he said another customer asked for another similar item.
The some of these items were put on display and most were completed upon customer request, Fuchs said. He said that around 60 percent of items being sold out of the kiosk was anti-Obama merchandise.
By Friday morning, Fuchs said these items had been take down.
Marsha Hammond, the mall’s marketing director, has a different take on that meeting. She said that Aldridge and Melinda Davis, the mall’s specialty leasing representative, suggested that Fuchs also display items in support of Obama. The mall had received several complaints from customers regarding the anti-Obama items, she said. Hammond also said that it was Fuchs’ decision to remove the items completely from display.
“That is not true,” Fuchs said. “I was given no choice. I was given, (Thursday) night at about 4:30, the option of taking it down or get out, receive an eviction at closing time.”
Fuchs said that while he never anticipated any, he was aware of customer complaints prior to Thursday’s meeting. Hammond said, and Fuchs confirmed, that several weeks prior to Thursday’s meeting, Davis came by the kiosk to suggest Fuchs display pro-Obama items which would allow him to continue to display anti-Obama items. Friday, prior to receiving the termination notice, Fuchs said he would comply with this suggestion.
The anti-Obama merchandise sold at the kiosk is not necessary his viewpoint, Fuchs said. He again said most were completed upon customer request and were displayed as work samples.
“I support his office,” he said “I might not like him, but I support his office.”
Fuchs also said that he would have printed anti-Republican items at customer request and has refused to print some vulgar items. He said that his stand wasn’t exclusive to the display of anti-Obama items, but bumper stickers with slogans such as “Support Our Troops” and “ETSU Pride” were also on display. Still, he said the anti-Obama items typically got a good response from mall patrons passing by.
“People would look at them and laugh or whatever, and I would always ask ‘what do you think about it? Do you approve?’ or some silly little remark,” he said. “And I would say that probably 95 percent were positive, only 5 percent were not.”
While Hammond said the mall is a private property and officials do not wish to see it used as a political forum, she said the mall does not conduct its business based on political views and that the termination of Fuchs’ lease is due to a matter between him and the mall.
Before he received the lease termination, Fuchs said his lease was set to expire Dec. 31 and that he planned to be around for the holiday season.
“I certainly hope I’m here to take care of the Christmas business,” he said.
Since receiving the notice, however, Fuchs said he now intends to continue to sell anti-Obama items via the Internet"
