What kind of thoughts do you have, when night falls upon the earth?
I think... pretty much about everything : )
From tiny everyday buzzing bees in my bonet to the question of all questions: who am I and why am I here, and then what I was born to do, what I should do to make the world a better place to live, what possibly I am really able to do, how can I help people around me, and how will I manage to survive myself...
It's a long way road... very often in the darkness... with a few lights... and with a beautiful shiny perspective in the end... there's always be an end to anything... except, perhaps, the life itself...
Life is a journey withought final destination, it's a magical process, not a quest or treasure hunt... you don't need to earn points, you don't need to play a game, you don't have time to wear masks and lie to yourself, because there's only one person on this planet, who can live your life the way only you can, that way you always can reach your own stars, they are already inside you...
Same goes for happiness, it's not what you could or should get or obtain, it's not what you need to search and find, it's just a way to be...
But than a morning comes, sun rises and... this hurry-scurry daily routine makes me forget it one more time before night will fall upon the earth again... and again... and again...
pittsburgh uses a lot of these graceful concrete bridges; i'm pretty sure this is I-76 over Forward/Commercial Ave but i was in an unfamiliar part of town at night & it was pretty dark.

Shot this in the Finger Lakes, New York while we were camping.
You know, I've been thinking about this shot after I posted it. The car, arguably one of the most important or at least, essential inventions in our day to day life. Of the 20th century in our first world countries anyway. Only a house is a bigger investment on average. It got us here where I shot this. It's protected me from the elements, my home away from home. And yet look at what it's doing to our planet, to our climate.
At the same time look at this sky. We aren't but a speck in the universe both in size and time. What does the universe care about the things we are doing to ourselves, to the things around us? If we are not careful we'll just be space junk. Humbling, really. It must have been the thing in my subconscious that decided to leave the car in the shot.

after a few evenings with pleasant temperatures, pittsburgh got hit with a bit of a cold wave this weekend & i noticed this couple, where the young man has taken off his jacket to suffer the chill like his lesser-dressed date. it made me chuckle; in my day, i would have draped the coat over her shoulders instead of carrying it. maybe he'll learn someday.

As horrific and tragic events unfolded at a concert venue in Paris, I was non the wiser, caught up shooting this gig in London.
Leaving The Roundhouse on a high from such a fantastic show, all was quickly forgotten as news of the Eagles of Death Metal show and other attacks in Paris came through.
