In 2022, I had been back on the grid for two years after taking a hiatus of over a decade. I was still relatively new again, thinking I had found my niche by building for multiple mer sims and helping to host weekly mermaid costume parties. At the time, I was making Nemissa BOM tail layers for myself—mostly as a way to challenge my creativity and theme my look without constantly buying new skins or tails.
It was during this period that I met my long-time sea-sters, Neve and Cecily. Both had their own mermaid stores, creating custom tail skins for one of the most popular tails at the time. I shared one of my early concepts, “the opal overlay,” with Neve, which eventually evolved into a full release. She later told me, “Oh lord, this man is coming for my gig,” because I had managed to create something beyond what I even recognized at the time. Without realizing it, I had become a creator.
Both Neve and Cecily encouraged me to open a store of my own. They helped me prepare for a last-minute opportunity to join Enchantment’s Royalty round when a spot unexpectedly opened. They guided me through planning my store, renting land for a mainstore, and setting up on systems like CasperVend and SL Marketplace. That’s when ((Krature)) was truly born—a fledgling brand with one tail design displayed in a glass case, surrounded by “coming soon” signs.
As I settled into my role as a creator, my circle of support continued to grow. I connected with incredible bloggers, including my general manager and blogger coordinator Ken, who have all pushed me to keep evolving ((Krature)) and sharing its designs with the wider Second Life community.
Three years later, ((Krature)) remains a deep passion. It’s more than an in-game income stream—it’s my way of expressing myself through creative exploration. Seeing someone wear ((Krature)) in-world or in photos fills me with a sense of acceptance and fulfillment that’s hard to put into words. That feeling is what keeps me going, even when the work gets difficult.
The identity of ((Krature)) hasn’t changed much since its inception. It has always leaned into a moody, rich aesthetic. But where the brand once featured copper tones and sleek black marble, we’re now moving toward a more reclaimed, grungy feel—whimsical neons and playful green water droplet textures setting the tone for what’s next.

The amazing phenomenon called Aurora Borealis! The Northern light during this time of the year the solar storm creates those amazing patterns and light shows in the night skies during the winter. Love watching these amazing light show. The crystal lavvos is smoking Northernlights!! :)
