You know what's pretty rad? Sitting down, and realizing you have this whole view to yourself. No sounds except the birds chirping, and occasional clumps of snow falling from the tree. No better meditation.
Following the cairn markers on the Pothole Point Trail.
This trail loops around an area of slickrock where there are numerous potholes. These basins in the sandstone retain water after storms. The trail offers great views of The Needles in the distance. The trailhead is located along the Big Spring Overlook road in the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park, Utah, near the end of the road. The trail informs visitors about the little shrimp that thrive in the potholes of the slickrock when they are full of water.
