NeuroFreeze is a protected trade secret formulation for effectively and efficiently freezing brain cells. Upon thawing, up to 90 percent of cells retain viability, a dramatic improvement over the 30 percent retention rate of other methods.
Once neuronal cells are prepared with the NeuroFreeze kit, inventor Jyothi Arikkath, Ph.D., places them in an isopropanol bath inside a minus-80-degree Celsius freezer overnight for successful cryopreservation. Cells stored using NeuroFreeze retain up to 90 percent viability, a dramatic improvement over the 30 percent rate of other methods.
