Another image from a beautiful sunset at the Grundlsee. While walking around we found this nice spot to enjoy the last sun rays of the day. I then of course looked for compositions and found this net in the water, where I had to lean quite a bit down and forward (the water was already pretty deep there) in order make the net prominent in the image. I also closed the aperture in order to get a sunstar in the other third of the image, which turned out to be quite huge. Hope you like it!

I wish all a sunny weekend :-)

...in catching of a dream...:)

Sometimes I try to take a minimalist photo.

If some landlubbers wondering what this is. It is a round timber, which protrudes out of the front tip of a ship (Jibboom? no it is a bowsprit) with the net underneath.

I wish you all a network that can catch you ..... and I do not mean the Internet .... I mean real relationships.

Inspired by the story of Hoffmann "The man of sand" and deals with the love story between Swanilda and Franz and that of a mysterious toy maker, Coppelius, who builds a particular doll because he has a soul, Coppelia.

my friend asked me to take pictures for her sweet 16 :):)

it's going to be on the front of the invitations!@##%

that is exciting to me.

well, i don't usually shoot portraits, so we'll see how this goes.

This is the second image of bubble net feeding, this time very close to the shoreline

As we were watching from the boat, a ring of bubbles appeared on the surface of the water. Within seconds a humpback surged upward bursting though the surface of the water surrounded by the ring of bubbles. As seen in this image the mouth is wide opening a frenzied attempt to catch the fish trapped by the ''net of bubbles". One humpback or several can be involved in the bubble net feeding

In the spider world, i think few are more strange and fascinating than the Rufous Net-casting Spiders (Deinopis subrufa), also called Ogre faced spiders.

Net-casting spiders are common in bushland and gardens. By day they hide, stick-like, among foliage. By night they build beautiful little webs about the size of a postage stamp and made of thick, bluish-white cribellate silk. The web structure and web spinning behaviour reveal that the net is a highly modified orb web, as net casting spiders are descended from orb-weavers.

I found this little beauty, with damaged back right leg, on a garden screen and simply had to test the macro setting on my new phone. If you're curious to know more about these amazing spiders, here is a link to the best and most entertaining video you will ever see about Net-casting spiders.
