Yes, this one came from a Macro Monday photo that I did a few years ago. the detail in the tie and the colors were perfect! I usually play with hue but I did not on this one.
I had four of these images printed on metallic paper using a standout mount. Print cannot duplicate the backlight of an electronic screen but the colors are still strikingly beautiful.
I was cleaning out the closet the other day, and I came across this old spring time favorite. I bought it back in the late 80s, and I remember pulling it off a mannequin because I liked it so much. It always got compliments; the women loved it!
I have dozens of neckties, and I don't think I have ever thrown one away. :-)
Origins; The necktie that spread from Europe traces back to Croatian mercenaries serving in France during the Thirty Years' Napoleonic War (1618–1648). These mercenaries from the Croatian Military Frontier, wearing their traditional small, knotted neckerchiefs, aroused the interest of the Parisians.

Finding a subject for Something Purple was difficult until I remembered my Masonic necktie that was made from the Freemanson's Universal Tartan. Combining it with a few other items related to the Masonry yielded this still life I've called "Time For Lodge."
For those viewers knowledgeable of the craft, you will see many subtle references to the Symbolism of Freemasory. For those not familiar, very little of what you see will be recognizable as having a hidden meaning.
I would write more, but oops, it is time for lodge....
