During our recent trip to ND, we stayed in the local school. The school is just another school that has closed due to lower enrollment numbers, but some locals here decided to make it into a lodge. We slept in a classroom, cooked and ate in the home ec room and hung out with the many many deer that have taken to the school playground. It was really quite affordable, had free wi-fi and we had the place to ourselves.
