Some days ago I discovered this snow area on a frozen pond. The day after rain moved in and removed the whole thing.

El parque natural de Aizkorri-Aratz, situado entre las provincias de Álava y Gipuzkoa, destaca por sus sierras calizas e interminables hayedos. Cuenta con la cima más alta de Euskadi, el Aitxuri (1.551 m) y dice la leyenda que entre sus cumbres puede aún encontrarse a la diosa mitológica Mari.
La entrada principal del parque está situada junto al espectacular Santuario de Arantzazu, colgado en un pronunciado barranco, es visita obligada por su interés arquitectónico y artístico. El parque de Aizkorri Aratz alberga tesoros como el Túnel de San Adrián,,,,,,,,, The natural park of Aizkorri-Aratz, located between the provinces of Álava and Gipuzkoa, stands out for its limestone mountains and endless beech forests. It has the highest peak in the Basque Country, the Aitxuri (1,551 m) and legend has it that among its peaks you can still find the mythological goddess Mari.
The main entrance of the park is located next to the spectacular Sanctuary of Arantzazu, hanging in a steep ravine, it is a must for its architectural and artistic interest. Aizkorri Aratz Park is home to treasures such as the San Adrián Tunnel.
It was a pleasure to photograph this Female Great Blue Heron in her natural habitat and to bear witness to her daily behaviors. This is where I will leave her for now as I'm off to search for other wildlife to photograph.

Hickman Bridge is one of the highlights of Capitol Reef - a large, elegant natural arch in a scenic side canyon far above the Fremont River, surrounded by the great white domes of Navajo sandstone that characterize the national park.
Hickman Bridge is one of the few arches in the national park that may be reached by a maintained trail; this starts from UT 24 next to the Fremont River and climbs fairly gradually, along a dry wash to the base of the 130 foot span.
The far end of the path loops under the bridge and provides plenty of different vantage points allowing photography from a variety of angles. Just beyond is a good overlook of the Fremont River valley and distant lands to the west, while all around are eroded rock formations of many colors, with larger domed summits in the distance. The round trip to Hickman Bridge and back (2.5 miles) takes around one hour.
