Found this mother alligator and her four sleeping babies in the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge in Hardeeville, SC. The refuge's gift shop is called The Gator Hole. The T-shirt I bought there has "Advice from an alligator," which includes "Keep a low profile" and "Bask in the sun." Wouldn't you agree that these young ones have already mastered the art of basking in the sun?

Update: It has been brought to my attention that the larger alligator is too small - and so too young - to be the mother of this group.

When you travel with a 2 year old, you need to have a place for a nice quiet nap. This is the Singing Tower in Luray Virginia that contains a carillon of 47 bell and it was a perfect place and time for a little snooze. I certainly took advantage of it! LOL
