I've never seen an owl (or any bird for that matter) rest its head on a branch. It was very hot this day.... maybe the heat was too much? Maybe it was tired? This juvenile barred owl was about 8 weeks old when I shot this. Thanks for looking!

Saying it again, could not resist. Took this today when she was napping. My poor kids, they don't stand a chance if they fall asleep in good light.

I'm talking nappy as in the sleeping AND as in the hair. har.

Greta came over from the other barn with Napoleon and although there is another horse at the new barn, these two are sticking together!

I am in love with her chubby legs!

These vanilla cupcakes were for a baby shower. The teddies in nappies are a variation on the christening cupcakes with the teddy bears and blankets. It took a couple of go’s to figure out how to wrap the (supposedly) cloth-nappy around the bear’s bottom and get all the natural creases around the legs. It was good fun though, especially arranging the teddies into different poses. The washing line was inspired by the cover of a novel I borrowed from the library – one of my favorite refuge and a great source of inspiration.

Took this pic of Caroline riding Napoleon with the others around the neighborhood where he lives! It was so far away that the quality isn't great because I cropped in so much! But, I love it! Soon that will be me riding him around with the others!!! :)

My little girl arrived 2 weeks ago for my birthday! It took me so long to get the eyes right, but it's all worth it. I am so happy she is finally here. She is adorable!
