My frenectomy was exactly 2 months ago today, so here’s a before (the morning pre-op) and after (this morning) comparison for #TransformationTuesday (and #TongueOutTuesday) 😝 The wound is *almost* invisible now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am SUPER behind on editing/posting video updates for this (I’ve had a lot going on the last few months!). I hopefully will get it done soon but in the meantime, check out the difference here in how much more elongated my tongue is, how much more open my mouth can be with my tongue up, how much less my salivary gland is being yanked upward. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Two months on, I’ve still had *much* less neck/shoulder tension (especially the front of my neck, like SCM) and I still feel like I used to have a guitar string up my whole body that was tuned too tight and hasn’t been since. I think my snoring might actually have gotten worse because I’m still working on toning my tongue and keeping it fully on my palate, so hopefully that will be temporary. I still have a lot of work to do in myofunctional therapy but overall I’m SUPER happy I had it done and even if nothing else ever improved it would still have been worth it for what difference it’s already made.
