Heron At The Pond
One of my four paintings, with which I am currently participating in the exhibition of our painting group. At first it was supposed to be just an abstract color mood (without the bird), but when it was done, our painting instructor allowed me to paint the heron as well. As a template, I used one of my photos:

I actually took my camera out yesterday and was shooting butterflies, birds and bees but liked this better than any of those shots. I love eye contact with this guy. View large and you will, too :-)
With his gray muzzle, he's becoming quite the distinguished looking fellow.
Taken from my tiny backyard garden I love these tiny flowers! It was pretty in it's original image but the darker filter added more drama! I'll be back soon to visit you all. I hope you'll have a peaceful week ahead.
