I was at the producers' market when I spotted this man and his great mustache from afar and I thought it would be cool to snap a portrait of him.
And as he came closer I started seeing the face tattoos and it became clear I had to ask him a portrait.
He agreed but it obviously bothered him a bit since he wasn't looking at me and kept his head slightly turned away.
I only took two shots, the whole intercation lasted less than a minute.

This Gila Woodpecker contemplates whether this fruit of the Saguaro cactus is ready for eating. They're not. Looks like these are just flower buds in the pre-bloom stage. Eventually, they'll bloom into a white flower and then become a nice red fruit enjoyed by many birds and insects. I thought it was interesting how this woodpecker used the buds as little footholds, allowing it to avoid the prickly top of the cactus. This is either a female or a juvenile. The males have a red cap. The gila woodpecker is similar in size to the flicker but has much different markings (Flickers have spots on their breast and a mustache kind of thing). The Gila Woodpecker's range is just the Southern half of Arizona and down into Mexico. They evolved along the Gila River, hence the name.

Haha, this picture just makes me laugh. It's not even a good photo. I kinda just took it and went with whatever. That picture is actually the only one I took for this project for the day.

john has decided to start sporting a mustache. and referring to himself as "mustache john." what you can't tell from this picture is that he's also sporting a GOLD PINKIE RING and a GOLD CHAIN. i felt it necessary to tell him that i didn't think mustache john was going to get laid as much. he disagreed and said he would just get laid by, and i quote, "a different type of lady." we love you, mustache john.

These two do not get along to well. XD they are both from the same story as Maxine. (Seth is her partner if you do not know.) Oh well, maybe one day they will. :) Or not. XD
