Nearly 11 years after rolling out of the Muncie, IN plant in Reading paint, NS SD70ACe 1067 has once again emerged with a new coat of paint thanks to shop personnel at Juniata Locomotive Works in Altoona, PA. The 1067 is pictured leading train 22X on the Passaic & Harsimus Branch in Newark, NJ bound for Croxton Yard in Jersey City, NJ with a short train.
The Reading heritage unit left Altoona this morning on a OCS, looks like the guys at Juniata finally fixed the nose & gave her a good bath. Here it is fresh from Muncie back in 2013.

This is where I lived from circa 1972-1977. Most of the plants and trees in the photo were planted by my father with the exception of those near the front porch and on either side of the garage.
I wanted to show this to a freind, and it appears that I did not previously upload it. Now everyone gets to see it. ;-)
Interesting tidbit. At some point, they totally renumbered everything. "41 Bayberry Lane" no longer exists.

A mid train DP is helping to propel a massive PSR-sized manifest across the White River at Muncie, IN. The train is bound for Fort Wayne on former Nickel Plate rails.
NS 9560 leads a manifest down the NS New Castle District in Muncie, Indiana past the NKP and NYC signals that may soon meet their fate. 7/30/16

PRLX 2236 still wears its black NS paint. This SW1500 was built for Reading in 1966.
The Bonner Local, UP Train LMW32 04 waits for a light at CP Z010 so they can come east, and then get a light back west towards home. But first, they must wait for UP Train ANPESR 04 to cross over in front of them headed east.

The City of Muncie is the county seat of Delaware County, Indiana. In 2010 it had a population of 70,085.

June 19, 1978 marks the first publication of Garfield. He joins Jon Arbunkle and dog Odie in their little house set in Muncie, Indiana. As of 2013, it was syndicated in roughly 2,580 newspapers and journals, and held the Guinness World Record for being the world's most widely syndicated comic strip.
The Muncie Mall opened in 1970 the original anchors where Grants, Britt's, and Sears. Grants later became JCPenney. Britt's later on became L.S. Ayers which stayed in that location until a new store was built at the mall in 1997. Elder-Beerman took over the Britt's location, and in 2011 was rebranded Carson's.

Pizza King signage at their new location on E. Memorial Drive, further east of the old location. Sadly the wonderful Pizza King crown neon sign did not make the trip and its fate is unknown.
