"The fog rolled lazily through the graveyard, soft and silver under the moonlight. Perched among the crooked tombstones stood the Yellow Skeleton, his metallic bones gleaming faintly, wings half folded like a weary angel of rust.
In one hand, he held a skull —still carrying an axe, as if fashion were a violent memory. Around him, bony arms reached from the ground, making small “okay” signs, a chorus of silent agreement.
“Halloween,” he muttered, his jaw creaking with disdain. “Every year they turn sacred ground into a circus.”
The fog shivered with quiet laughter. Even the dead seemed to side with him. After all, who decorates eternity with plastic spiders?
And so he stood, guardian and critic of the afterlife’s worst holiday, watching over the graves with stubborn pride —a metallic sentinel who refused to let the living forget their manners."

Concourse walkway between the East and West Buildings of the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.
In traveling the 200-foot-long concourse walkway between these buildings, you are taken through Multiverse, a large and very complex light sculpture created by American artist Leo Villareal. The work includes about 41,000 computer-programmed LED nodes and took three years to go from development to installation.
I came out of a car testing center to see a lovely sunrise. Took pics went home. Tonight i took a look and see the droplets on the windscreen , ooh :)

"In a Victorian room, crowded with silent clocks, dark tapestries,
and lamps breathing dust,
the ogre tilts his head before a diorama of tiny houses.
He studies them with curiosity and a strange tenderness,
as one might watch another creature’s dream.
“What curious things humans make,” he murmurs,
“building worlds that fit upon a table.”
A dust-moth drifts above the miniature rooftops.
He smiles.
Sometimes, he thinks, humans and ogres aren’t so different after all—
both are only trying to find
a place that feels like home." ️🍂

Woosh.
I had seen and admired photos of this artwork of LEDs and panels but I did not realize it was exhibited here at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. until I stumbled on it. On second thought, where else would it be?

"The air trembled between growl and silence.
Haru stood before the beast, her black robes breathing with the wind, the mark of its claws still fresh across her cheek.
Behind her, the Master watched—faceless beneath the hood—flanked by hounds that paced and snarled, eager to see her fail.
“Are you sure it will let itself be tamed?” she asked, her voice thin as smoke.
The Master did not answer.
Only the wolves did—raising their gaze toward the pale light, as if they already knew the truth: that to tame something wild, you must first offer it the wildness within yourself." thks Haru

Their mirrored counterparts from the other universe were night-and-day different than they were. Of course, I am thinking of the classic Star Trek episode of Mirror, Mirror about a mirror universe.

We had been waiting for this guy! Very cool character from DC and an excellent figure of him from McFarlane. 😎

Leo Villareal's Multiverse with a little camera motion at a slower shutter speed and a green filter. Just having fun!
I love unusual landscapes. This isn't one of those honey trap locations. It seems to have failed to capture the imagination of the wider public. Indeed, having wanted to go there for so long I was underwhelmed on the day I finally saw it for the first time. Perhaps in other light, or snow, it would be more interesting. Or if I had chanced upon a pagan festival being celebrated on that day. But save for some distant sunbeams, it was a dull sky and very muddy underfoot. Is it worth going? Are you a creative photographer up for a challenge or one of those fair weather togs who demands a ready made 'boom' shot?

That multiverse idea is not a notion invented to account for the miracle of fine-tuning. It is a consequence of the no-boundary condition as well as many other theories of modern cosmology.

This stunning site has many dramatic landforms depicting some of the marvels of the universe. An inspirational vision of land artist, cultural theorist and landscape designer Charles Jencks. This is a view from one of the highest points and shows the Multiverse with the mounds of the Milky Way and Andromeda. Near Sanquhar, Dumfries and Galloway.
