ARTIST NOTE: I lived in California most of my life and when I was a small child my family took me to visit some relatives where I saw my first firefly. Now living in Maryland I get to enjoy these little critters every year. They light up my backyard and make simply relaxing a bit of a joy.
ARTIST NOTE: Oddly taking my "cross hatch" painting ideas to a new level, I created patterns exclusively for auction at the Rosemount Center's upcoming Gala.
ARTIST NOTE: She knows who she is and this was painted for her. I suspect if I was a musician you would all say that this song was about someone I loved, but what I can tell you is that it is about someone that I could have been a friend to, but for whatever reasons she had, she continues to have them.
