gin and i sketching this past weekend for a multi-touch wall.

PAX East 2012 - Machine Code Games was kind enough to send us some demo software from their upcoming line up of board, card and action games. Missile Defender is a re-spin on Missile Command in which up to eight players defend four cities from incoming projectiles. There are three rotating emitters in the center of the screen, four cities with two banks of missiles each, and a lot of strategic tapping.

We didn't run this one too much as it is a very early beta of the game and requires a mode switch to function currently.

Cadillac CUE integrates interior design with industry-first control and command technologies. It will debut in 2012 in the ATS and XTS luxury sedans and SRX luxury crossover. The vibrant LCD multi-touch screen has large icons similar to multi-touch smartphones but also features haptic touch response and proximity sensing to dim the display when not in use.

IE 8 is a little laggy when attempting to respond but overall, it works as expected.

This work is part of a general reflection on the perception, streaming, processing and visualization of these data.

For this Dorkbot, Lionel will present his multi-touch interface (in progress) developed for Homeostatic, with the support of iMAL.
