Multiple Muffler Men stand outside of The American Giants Museum in Atlanta Illinois.
First is the Indian Brave, also known as a Native American or Bemidji/Chippewa Brave.
Second is the Mortimer Snerd, which is also reverenced as the Dimwit. The Snerd resembles MAD Magazines Alfred E. Neuman. I am not a fan of the Dimwit reverence.
Third is the Astro Oil Space Man, a custom replica Space Man similar to Wilmington's Gemini Giant.
Fourth is the Phillips 66 Cowboy holding a tire.
Fifth is the Carpet Viking muffler man sporting a giant sword.
America Muffler, in the Garfield historic district, is the site of one of the first gas (petrol) stations in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It was built in 1916.
A little taste of Waverly, Iowa. More as I get it processed.
Iowa doesn't respect neon much, but there is some affinity for gas stations in this region. I've even seen privates gas stations in folk's back yards, mini-Parita's (a famous spot on 66 in Missouri). Never any access and I never have enough time to knock.

This 21-foot-tall Carpet Viking fiberglass statue is located at the American Giants Museum (100 NE Arch St, Atlanta, IL). Originally a roadside carpet pitchman in Delmar, Maryland, the fully restored giant was installed at its current Route 66 home. You can view the outdoor giants 24 hours a day.
