America Muffler, in the Garfield historic district, is the site of one of the first gas (petrol) stations in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It was built in 1916.
A little taste of Waverly, Iowa. More as I get it processed.
Iowa doesn't respect neon much, but there is some affinity for gas stations in this region. I've even seen privates gas stations in folk's back yards, mini-Parita's (a famous spot on 66 in Missouri). Never any access and I never have enough time to knock.

No information on this facility although there is still a towing, muffler and other services sign infront. Have never seen anyone there. Looks to be one of the old style heating oil tanks once popular in the area. It is huge. Geo tagged, so should be easy to look at on google.
